Diets That Work”… We know its a bit of an oxymoron, because the fact is that most diets and especially yo-yo dieting doesn’t work.

Before we try and explain which diets work and why we’ll talk about why most diets don’t work.

Most diets fail because they require you to give up eating to some degree and starving your body from the much needed nutrition it needs throughout the day. So why is this bad? Well when your body starts realising that it isn’t getting enough nutrients and fat any more it slows down your metabolism. Your body does this so that it can try and squeeze as much nutrients and fat out of the food you ARE getting so that it can still function. Then when you realize that you are starving all the time and simply cannot handle it any more you cheat or stop the diet and go back to your old eating habits. The worst part then is that once you have gone back to your normal eating plan, your body is in such a shock that it decides to store as much fat as possible, just in case you try something stupid like a diet again!

Diets That Work

So the only diets that work are ones that prescribe you to eating regularly and healthily and lowering the amount of carbohydrates and bad fats from your diet.
